'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from a man, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: A man placed his hand upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "By Allah, I cannot bear to place my hand upon you due to the intensity of your fever." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "We, the company of prophets, have our trials doubled just as our reward is doubled. Indeed, a prophet from among the prophets would be afflicted with lice until it killed him. And a prophet from among the prophets would be afflicted with poverty until he would take a cloak and wrap it around himself. And they would rejoice in trial just as you rejoice in ease."
