Musnad Ahmad 31:896

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from a man, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You will surely follow the ways of those who came before you, span by span and cubit by cubit, until even if a man from the Children of Israel entered the hole of a lizard, you would follow them into it." And he said once: "You would follow him into it."
