Musnad Ahmad 31:897

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from 'Ata' ibn Yasar, from Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the believers are saved from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection and are secure, there is no one among you more intense in arguing for his right that he has in this world than the believers will be with their Lord regarding their brothers who were entered into the Fire." He said: "They will say: 'Our Lord, our brothers used to pray with us, fast with us, and perform Hajj with us, yet You entered them into the Fire.' He will say: 'Go and bring out those whom you recognize.' So they will come to them and recognize them by their forms; the Fire will not consume their forms. Among them are those whom the Fire took up to the middle of their shins, and among them are those whom it took up to their ankles. They will bring them out and say: 'Our Lord, we have brought out those whom You commanded us.' Then He will say: 'Bring out whoever has the weight of a dinar of faith in his heart, then whoever has the weight of half a dinar in his heart, until He says: whoever has the weight of an atom in his heart.'" Abu Sa'id said: "Whoever does not believe in this, let him read this verse: {Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward} [An-Nisa': 40]." He said: "Then they will say: 'Our Lord, we have brought out those whom You commanded us, and there remains in the Fire no one who has any good in him.' Then Allah will say: 'The angels have interceded, the prophets have interceded, and the believers have interceded, and there remains the Most Merciful of the merciful.'" He said: "Then He will take a handful from the Fire—or he said: two handfuls—of people who never did any good for Allah at all, having been burned until they became charcoal. He said: "They will be brought to water called the Water of Life, and it will be poured upon them. They will sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt of a flood. They will come out of their bodies like pearls, with a seal upon their necks: 'The freed ones of Allah.'" He said: "Then it will be said to them: 'Enter Paradise. Whatever you wished for or saw of anything, it is yours, and with Me is something better than that.' They will say: 'Our Lord, and what is better than that?' He will say: 'My pleasure upon you, so I will never be angry with you ever again.'"
