Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, from Hisham—meaning al-Dastawa'i—who said: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to me, from Abu Rashid al-Hubrani, who said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Shibl said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Recite the Quran, and do not exceed the limits regarding it, and do not turn away from it, and do not consume [wealth] by means of it, and do not seek to increase [your worldly gain] through it."
