Musnad Ahmad 22:24

Hajjaj narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to me, from al-Ahwal, and Jabir al-Ju'fi, and Ibn 'Ata, from 'Ata, from Ibn 'Abbas, from al-Fadl: "That he was the rider behind the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he continued to recite the talbiyah until he threw the pebble at the Jamrah on the Day of Sacrifice." Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us—and Abdullah said: I heard it myself from Abdullah ibn Muhammad—Hafs narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, from Ali ibn al-Husayn, from Ibn 'Abbas, from al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas: "That the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not cease reciting the talbiyah until he threw the pebble at Jamrat al-'Aqabah. He threw seven pebbles at it, saying 'Allahu Akbar' with every pebble."
