Musnad Ahmad 22:6

Hujayn and Yunus narrated to us, they said: Layth ibn Sa’d narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Abu Ma’bad, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas, from Abdullah ibn Abbas, from al-Fadl ibn Abbas, who was the rider behind the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), that he said on the evening of Arafah and the morning of Jam’ (Muzdalifah) to the people when they departed: "Maintain tranquility upon yourselves." And he was restraining his she-camel until, when he entered Muhassir—and it is from Mina—he said: "You must use the pebbles of al-khadhf (small pebbles) with which the Jamrah is pelted." And he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) did not cease to recite the Talbiyah until he pelted the Jamrah.
