Musnad Ahmad 7:33

Kuthayyir ibn Hisham narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Abdullah ibn Salamah—or Salamah, Kuthayyir said: and my memory is Salamah—from Ali, or from al-Zubayr, he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver a sermon to us and remind us of the days of Allah, until we would recognize that in his face, as if he were a warner to a people whom the matter would overtake in the morning. And when he was recently visited by Gabriel, he would not smile laughingly until it [the state of revelation] was lifted from him."
