Musnad Ahmad 5:126

Aswad narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Musa al-Saghir al-Tahhan, from Mujahid, who said: Ali said: "I went out and came to a garden. He said: So he said: 'Lower [the bucket] for a date.' He said: So I lowered it until I filled my palm, then I came to the water and drank some of it—meaning: I drank—then I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and I fed him some of it, and I ate some of it."
