Musnad Ahmad 5:135

Abdullah narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ja’far al-Warkani and Isma’il ibn Musa al-Suddi narrated to me, and Zakariyya ibn Yahya Zahmuwayh narrated to us, they said: Sharik informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from Sa’id ibn Dhi Haddan, from Ali, who said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, named war upon the tongue of His Prophet: a deception." Zahmuwayh said in his narration: "upon the tongue of your Prophet." *** Abdullah narrated to us, my father and Ubaydullah ibn Umar al-Qawariri narrated to me, they said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Sa’id ibn Dhi Haddan, he who heard Ali saying narrated to me: "War is a deception, upon the tongue of your Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
