Musnad Ahmad 5:164

Yunus narrated to us, Laith narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, from Muhammad ibn Ka‘b al-Qurazi, from ‘Abdullah ibn Shaddad ibn al-Had, from ‘Abdullah ibn Ja‘far, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, taught me these words and commanded me that if distress or hardship should befall me, I should say them: "There is no god but Allah, the Generous, the Forbearing. Exalted is He, and blessed is Allah, Lord of the Great Throne, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
