Musnad Ahmad 5:190

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Khalid ibn Abdullah narrated to us, from Mutarrif, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Harith, from Ali: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade that the people should raise their voices against one another with the Quran between the Maghrib and Isha prayers."
