Musnad Ahmad 5:27

Narrated to us Abdullah, narrated to me Surayj ibn Yunus, narrated to us Ali ibn Hashim—meaning ibn al-Barid—from Muhammad ibn Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Rafi, from Umar ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn, from his father, from Ali: "That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, gave his wives the choice between the world and the Hereafter, and he did not give them the choice of divorce."
