Musnad Ahmad 5:303

'Abdullah narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Warkani narrated to me, Abu Ma'shar Najih al-Madani, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: 'Umar ibn al-Khattab was placed between the pulpit and the grave. Then 'Ali came until he stood in front of the rows and said: "It is this one," three times. Then he said: "May the mercy of Allah be upon you. There is no one among the creation of Allah the Exalted whom I would love more to meet with his record [of deeds] after the record of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, than this one who is covered by his garment."
