Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn al-Abbas al-Bahili narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Abu Bishr informed me, I heard Mujahid narrating from Ibn Abi Layla, I heard Ali saying: "A silk garment was brought to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he sent it to me. I wore it, then I saw dislike on his face. So he commanded me, and I tore it into head-coverings among the women."
