Waki’ narrated to us, Mis’ar narrated to us, from Abu ‘Awn, from Abu Salih al-Hanafi, from ‘Ali: That Ukaydir of Dumah gifted the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a silk garment—or cloth. He said: So he gave it to me and said: "Tear it into head coverings (khumur) among the women."
