Musnad Ahmad 5:52

Abdullah narrated to us, Suwayd ibn Sa’id narrated to us, in the year two hundred and twenty-six, Muslim ibn Khalid al-Zanji narrated to us—Abu Abd al-Rahman said: I said to Suwayd: "And why was he called al-Zanji?" He said: "He was intensely black"—from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith, from Zayd ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn, from his father, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Rafi’, from Ali ibn Abi Talib, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood at Arafah, and he had Usamah ibn Zayd riding behind him. He said: "This is a standing place, and all of Arafah is a standing place." Then he departed, and he began to travel at a gentle pace, while the people were striking to the right and to the left. He would turn and say: "Tranquility, O people! Tranquility, O people!" until he came to Muzdalifah, and he combined the two prayers. Then he stood at Muzdalifah, and he had al-Fadl ibn Abbas riding behind him. Then he stood at Quzah and said: "This is the standing place, and all of Muzdalifah is a standing place." Then he departed, and he began to travel at a gentle pace, while the people were striking to the right and to the left. He would turn and say: "Tranquility, O people! Tranquility, O people!" When he stood at Muhassir, he spurred his mount, and it trotted with him until it exited the valley. Then he traveled at his pace until he came to the Jamrah. Then he entered the place of sacrifice and said: "This is the place of sacrifice, and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice." He then mentioned the like of the hadith of Ahmad ibn Abdah, from al-Mughirah ibn Abd al-Rahman, the same or similar to it.
