Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj narrated to us, Shu'bah informed us, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn Shaddad saying: Ali said: I did not see the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, combine his parents for anyone other than Sa'd ibn Malik. For indeed, on the day of Uhud, he began saying: "Shoot, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you." *** Abdullah narrated to us, my father narrated to me, and Ubaydullah ibn Umar al-Qawariri, and Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami, and Muhammad ibn Bashshar Bundar, they said: Mu'adh ibn Hisham narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to me, and Abu Khaythamah narrated to me, Abd al-Samad and Mu'adh narrated to us, from Hisham, they both said: Hisham narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Harb ibn Abi al-Aswad, from his father, from Ali: That the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The urine of a nursing male infant is sprinkled [with water], and the urine of a female infant is washed." Qatadah said: "And this is as long as they have not eaten food; but if they have eaten food, both are washed." Abdullah said: "And Abu Khaythamah did not mention the statement of Qatadah in his hadith."
