Musnad Ahmad 5:605

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Abu ‘Awn, from Abu Salih, who said: I heard ‘Ali say: A *sayra’* (silk-mixed) garment was gifted to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent it to me, so I went out wearing it. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, became angry, until I saw the anger in his face. He said: "I did not give it to you so that you would wear it." He said: So he commanded me, and I tore it up among my women.
