'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from al-Hasan and 'Abd Allah, the two sons of Muhammad ibn 'Ali, from their father, Muhammad ibn 'Ali: that he heard his father, 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, say to Ibn 'Abbas—when it reached him that he (Ibn 'Abbas) had permitted the temporary marriage (mut'ah) of women—'Ali ibn Abi Talib said to him: "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade it on the day of Khaybar, and (he also forbade) the meat of domesticated donkeys."
