Musnad Ahmad 5:664

Yazid narrated to us, Sufyan ibn Sa'id informed us, from 'Abd al-A'la al-Tha'labi, from Abu Jamilah, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talib: That a slave girl of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave birth due to adultery. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent me to carry out the prescribed punishment (hadd) upon her. I found her still in the blood, which had not yet dried from her. So I returned to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and informed him. He said to me: "When the blood has dried from her, then flog her with the prescribed punishment." Then he said: "Carry out the prescribed punishments upon those whom your right hands possess."
