Abdullah narrated to us, Amr ibn Muhammad ibn Bukayr al-Naqid narrated to me, al-Ala’ ibn Hilal al-Raqqi narrated to us, Ubaydullah ibn Amr narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Abi Unaysah, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Hayyah, who said: Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "Shall I not show you how the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to perform ablution?" We said: "Yes." He said: "So they brought me a basin and a vessel of water. He washed his hands three times, inhaled water into his nose three times, blew it out three times, washed his face three times, washed his hands up to the elbows three times, wiped his head three times, and washed his feet three times."
