'Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Khaythama Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to me, al-Qasim ibn Malik al-Muzani narrated to us, from 'Asim ibn Kulayb, from his father, who said: I was sitting with 'Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and he said: I entered upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and there was no one with him except 'A'isha, may Allah be pleased with her. He said: "O son of Abu Talib, how will you be with a people such and such?" I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. He said: "A people who will emerge from the East, reciting the Qur'an, but it will not pass beyond their collarbones. They will pass through the religion just as an arrow passes through the game. Among them will be a man with a deformed hand, as if his hand were the breast of an Abyssinian woman."
