Hadith 1132:0
### Musnad of ‘Amr ibn Hazm al-Ansari It was narrated to us by ‘Amr ibn Hazm al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wrote a letter to the people of Yemen containing laws, obligations, and Sunnahs. He sent it with ‘Amr ibn Hazm. In it, it was written: "From Muhammad, the Prophet, to Shurahbil ibn ‘Abd Kulal, al-Harith ibn ‘Abd Kulal, and Nu‘aym ibn ‘Abd Kulal, the leaders of Himyar. To proceed: Your messenger has reached me, and he has brought me your news, and he has informed me of your Islam and your killing of the polytheists. Allah has guided you with His guidance, if you do good, obey Allah and His Messenger, establish prayer, give Zakat, and pay the fifth of the spoils of war to Allah, and the share of the Prophet, and the choice of the spoils, and what is prescribed for the believers from the charities on their lands: one-tenth on what is watered by springs or rain, and half of one-tenth on what is watered by the bucket."
