Musnad Ahmad 32:1014

Muhammad ibn Abdullah narrated to us, Humayd al-Tawil narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to visit Umm Sulaym, and she had a son from Abu Talhah who was called Abu Umayr, and he used to joke with him. He entered upon him and saw him sad, so he said: "What is the matter with me seeing Abu Umayr sad?" They said: "His sparrow (nughayr) that he used to play with has died." He said: So he began to say: "Abu Umayr, what did the sparrow do?"
