Bahz narrated to us, Abu al-Awwam al-Qattan—and he is Imran ibn Dawar, and he was blind—narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) appointed Ibn Umm Maktum as his successor over Medina twice, leading them in prayer, and he was blind.
