Musnad Ahmad 32:1073

Bahz and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Thabit, who said: Anas said: I was sitting by the pulpit on a Friday while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was delivering the sermon, when some of the people of the mosque said: "O Messenger of Allah, the rain has been withheld, the livestock have perished; supplicate to Allah to give us rain." Anas said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) raised his hands, and I did not see any clouds in the sky, then He brought the clouds together—Hajjaj said: Then Allah brought the clouds together—and it poured upon us—Hajjaj said: We hurried—until I saw the strong man concerned for his own self to reach his family. We were rained upon for seven [days]. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to deliver the sermon on the following Friday, when some of the people of the mosque said: "O Messenger of Allah, the houses have collapsed, the travelers are detained; supplicate to Allah to lift it from us." He said: So he raised his hands and said: "O Allah, around us and not upon us." He said: Then what was above our heads of it dispersed, until it was as if we were in a crown, raining all around us, but not upon us.
