Hadith 32:1125

Yazid narrated to us, Humaid and al-Ansari informed us, he said: Humaid narrated to us—the meaning being the same—from Anas ibn Malik, who said: It used to please us when a man from the people of the desert would come and ask the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He said: A Bedouin came and said: "O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour?" He said: Then the prayer was established, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, stood up and prayed. When he finished the prayer, he said: "Where is the one who asked about the Hour?" The man stood up and said: "I am here." He said: "And what have you prepared for it?" He said: "I have not prepared much prayer or fasting for it, except that I love Allah and His Messenger." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "A person is with whom he loves." He said: I have not seen the Muslims rejoice over anything after Islam as they rejoiced over that. Al-Ansari said: "From much work of prayer or fasting."
