Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Wasiti—who is al-Muzani—narrated to us, he said: Mus'ab ibn Sulaym narrated to me, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: "Dates were gifted to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he began to distribute them from a single basket, and I was his messenger with it until he finished it." He said: "Then he began to eat while sitting on his haunches, eating quickly, and I recognized hunger in his eating."
