Hadith 32:1197
Ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) traveled to Khaybar and arrived there at night. He said: And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when he arrived at night, would not raid them until morning. If he heard the call to prayer, he would refrain, and if they were not praying, he would raid them. He said: When morning came, he mounted and the Muslims mounted. He said: The people of the village went out to their fields with their baskets and their hoes. When they saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the Muslims, they said: "Muhammad, by Allah, and the army!" He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. Khaybar is ruined. Indeed, when we descend into the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those who were warned." Anas said: I was riding behind Abu Talhah, and my foot was touching the foot of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
