Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj and Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Ziyad—meaning Ibn Sa’d—informed me that Ibn Shihab informed him that Anas ibn Malik informed him: "That he saw in the hand of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a ring of silver for one day. Then the people took up rings of silver and wore them. So the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cast away his ring, and the people cast away their rings."
