Musnad Ahmad 32:1273

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas: "That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saw phlegm in the direction of the Qibla of the mosque, so he scraped it off with his hand."
