Musnad Ahmad 32:1372

Hashim narrated to us, Sulayman narrated to us, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, a man loves a man, but he is not able to perform deeds like his deeds." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "A person is with whom he loves." Anas said: "I never saw the companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, rejoice over anything as much as they rejoiced over this statement of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, except for Islam." Anas said: "So we love the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and we are not able to perform deeds like his deeds, so if we are with him, that is sufficient for us."
