Musnad Ahmad 32:1386

Hashim narrated to us, Ibrahim bin Sa'd narrated to us, he said: I heard al-Zuhri narrating from Anas bin Malik, "That he saw in the hand of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a ring of silver for one day. So the people made rings of silver and wore them. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cast away his ring, and the people cast away their rings."
