Musnad Ahmad 32:1397

Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, Safwan ibn 'Amr narrated to us, from 'Uthman ibn Jabir, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "War is deception."
