Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from 'Umarah ibn Ghaziyyah al-Ansari, that he heard Humayd ibn 'Ubayd, the freed slave of Banu al-Mu'alla, saying: I heard Thabit al-Bunani narrating from Anas ibn Malik, from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said to Gabriel: "Why have I never seen Michael laughing at all?" He said: "Michael has not laughed since the Fire was created."
