Musnad Ahmad 32:1406

Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Ma'an ibn Rifa'ah, he said: 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn Bukht al-Makki narrated to me, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he said: "May Allah brighten a servant who heard this statement of mine and carried it. For how many a carrier of jurisprudence is not a jurist himself, and how many a carrier of jurisprudence carries it to one who is more of a jurist than him. Three things the heart of a Muslim does not harbor malice toward: sincerity of action for Allah, offering sincere counsel to those in authority, and adhering to the community of the Muslims, for their supplication encompasses those behind them."
