Musnad Ahmad 32:1444

Yunus and Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik, that a man said: "O Messenger of Allah, a man loves a people, but he has not reached their deeds." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A person is with whom he loves." Hassan said: "Their deeds." He (the Prophet) said: "A person is with whom he loves." Thabit said: So when Anas would narrate this hadith, he would say: "O Allah, we love You and we love Your Messenger."
