Hadith 32:1499
'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, Sa'id informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas, that a group from 'Ukl and 'Uraynah came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we were people of livestock, and we were not people of the countryside (agricultural areas), and the climate of Medina did not agree with us." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ordered for them a herd of camels and a shepherd, and he ordered them to go out with them and drink from their milk and their urine. They departed, and when they were in the direction of al-Harrah, they killed the shepherd of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, drove away the camels, and disbelieved after their Islam. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent in pursuit of them. They were brought, so he cut off their hands and their feet, branded their eyes (with hot iron), and left them in the direction of al-Harrah until they died while in that state. Qatadah said: And it was mentioned to us that this verse was revealed concerning them.
