Musnad Ahmad 32:1577

Abu Salamah narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Thaqafi, that he asked Anas ibn Malik while they were both going early to Arafat: "How did you used to act on this day with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He said: "The one among us who would recite the Talbiyah would do so, and he would not be rebuked for it, and the one who would recite the Takbir would do so, and he would not be rebuked for it."
