Musnad Ahmad 32:1671

'Affan narrated to us, Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, Yahya ibn al-Harith al-Taymi narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn 'Amir, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade three things: visiting graves, the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three [days], and these fermented drinks in vessels. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said after that: "Verily, I had forbidden you from three things: I forbade you from visiting graves, then it appeared to me that it softens the hearts and brings tears to the eyes, so visit them, and do not speak falsehood. And I forbade you from the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three [days], then it appeared to me that people seek their provisions, offer hospitality to their guests, and store for those who are absent, so eat and store whatever you wish. And I forbade you from these vessels, so drink from whatever you wish, [but] whoever ties his waterskin [containing intoxicants] is upon sin."
