Musnad Ahmad 32:1682

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, 'Ali bin Zayd narrated to us, from Anas bin Malik, that the King of Rome gifted the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) a garment of silk brocade. It is as if I am looking at its sleeves dangling due to their length. The people began to touch it and say, "Was this sent down to you from the heaven, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "What is it that amazes you about it? By the One in Whose hand is my soul, a handkerchief from the handkerchiefs of Sa'd in Paradise is better than this." Then he sent it to Ja'far. He said: So Ja'far wore it, then he came. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "I did not send it to you so that you would wear it." He said, "Then what should I do with it?" He said, "Send it to your brother, the Negus."
