Musnad Ahmad 32:1762

'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Qatadah informed us, from Anas: "That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would pass by a date, and nothing prevented him from taking it except the fear that it might be from the charity (sadaqah)."
