Musnad Ahmad 32:1771

Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, he said: Khalid informed us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was of a brownish complexion. And I have never smelled musk, nor ambergris, that was better in scent than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him."
