Musnad Ahmad 32:183

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Humayd, Anas ibn Malik informed us, he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, passed by a garden belonging to the Banu al-Najjar, and he heard a sound from a grave. He said: "When did the occupant of this grave die?" They said: "He died in the Pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah)." He said: "Were it not that you would not bury one another, I would have supplicated to Allah to let you hear the punishment of the grave."
