Musnad Ahmad 32:1839

Abdullah ibn Bakr narrated to us, Humaid narrated to us, from Anas, who said: "Umm Sulaym sent me with a basket containing fresh dates. I did not find the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in his house. Behold, he was with a freedman of his who had prepared for him *tharid*—or he said: a *tharidah*—with meat and gourd. He invited me and seated me with him. I saw that he liked the gourd, so I began to place it before him. When he had finished his lunch and returned to his house, I placed the basket before him. He began to eat from it and distribute it until he reached the end of it."
