Musnad Ahmad 32:1895

'Affan and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Hammam narrated to us. Bahz said in his narration: He said: I heard Qatadah saying in his stories: Anas ibn Malik narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A people will emerge from the Fire after they have been afflicted by scorching." Bahz said: "Then they will enter Paradise, and the people of Paradise will call them the 'Jahannamiyyun' (the Hell-dwellers)." 'Affan said in his narration: He said: And Qatadah used to say: "They were punished for sins they had committed." Hammam said: "I do not know if it is in the narration, or if Qatadah used to say it."
