Musnad Ahmad 32:1962

Muhammad ibn Yazid al-Wasiti narrated to us, from Hisham al-Dastawa'i, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "Indeed, spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is burying it."
