Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, and Hajjaj said: Shu‘bah narrated to me, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. And Waki‘ narrated to us, from Shu‘bah and Hisham, from Qatadah, from Anas, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "There is no contagion, no bad omen, and no fa’l." It was said: "And what is the fa’l?" He said: "The good word." The wording is that of Muhammad ibn Ja‘far.
