Musnad Ahmad 32:2130

'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, he said: Ishaq bin 'Abdullah bin Abi Talha informed us, from Anas bin Malik, "That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent his maternal uncle, Haram, the brother of Umm Sulaym, with seventy [men] to the Banu 'Amir. When they arrived, my maternal uncle said to them: 'I will go ahead of you; if they grant me security until I convey to them the message of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, [then it is well], otherwise you will be near me.' He said: So he went ahead and they granted him security. While he was speaking to them about the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, they signaled to a man, and he stabbed him, piercing him through. He said: 'Allah is the Greatest! I have succeeded, by the Lord of the Ka'bah.' Then they turned upon the rest of his companions and killed them, except for a lame man among them who had climbed the mountain." Hammam said: I think he mentioned along with the lame man another [person] with him on the mountain. He said: And Anas narrated to us that: "Jibril, peace be upon him, came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and informed him that they had met their Lord, and He was pleased with them and pleased them." Anas said: They used to recite: "Convey to our people that we have met our Lord, and He was pleased with us and pleased us." He said: "Then it was abrogated after that. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, supplicated against them for thirty mornings, against Ri'l, Dhakwan, Banu Lihyan, and 'Usayyah, those who disobeyed Allah and His Messenger, or disobeyed the Most Merciful."
