Musnad Ahmad 32:2131

Bahz narrated to us, Aban ibn Yazid narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, Anas ibn Malik narrated to us, that the Prophet of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to say: "Spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is burying it."
